Gay Teen Led To Fake Prom

This disgusted me when I watched the youtube clip. Have y'all heard about it?
A young lesbian girl was tricked into going to a fake prom after suing for the right to be able to go. Now, her suing probably wasn't the wisest choice if she didn't want negative attention from the school, but this was sick and tasteless. Not only that, but there were special ed students tricked to go to the other prom as well.
This story brings back very negative memories of my prom last year. It was fun, the food was good, and a few of my friends went, but what still grinds my gears is my school's rule of having to have a date. I am asexual, and strong-willed, so naturally being FORCED to do anything, especially date, made me very angry.
Is anyone as outraged as I am about this?
