im so pissed

some of you know whats been going on with my brother.

the jist, him and his wife are drug addicts, theyve gotten their kid taken away and theyve been homeless for months.

my mom and i have done all we can to help them. my brother and his wife have been here and gone again and again.

well his wife dumped him somewhere and we took him back in a few days ago.

told him we'll still do what we can to help and we were going to.

well i woke up this morning to find a note and he stole a bunch of stuff and left.

his note said he couldnt mooch off us anymore and that he loves us.

im so fucking pissed off.

obviously, he's not gonna be comein back any more. i wont allow it.

but theres nothing i can do. my mom has been screwed over by both her sons and theres nothing i can do to make it better.

but theres gotta be something.

i cant be this helpless. im a fucking adult theres gottabe something i can do to fix something.

this has got to be my problem. i cant let her have a nervous breakdown again.

all this has already put her on medication just to function every day i have to do something.

I think your doing the only thing you can do, not allowing him to come back........just be there for your mom, let her know she still has ONE kid she can depend on.

There is always the option of calling the police and reporting the theft. Your brother has been enabled by the unconditional love/support you have given him in the past. The more consequences someone has, the less opportunity they have to continue their negative behavior it would seem.

I am surprised that social services did not mandate drug treatment as part of the treatment plan when they took his child. You can also hold an intervention. Contact a local treatment center and see what options they can offer. You can also help your mother to seek counseling for herself. update: my mom did fine with everything.

but you want some fun? my brother showed up at my house last week and my mom is letting him stay again.

she said she wouldnt. she promised.

anyone out there got a place i can stay cause i dont wanna stay here.

The only advice I have right now is to pm Summer08..........she has contacts in social work and stuff, so she may be able to help more than I can.
