Humans [and that includes you and me] are capable of anything.
This is why it's so important to appreciate that the moment you begin to believe [as if it were FACT] that YOU would never hurt anyone - is the moment that you are most at risk of hurting someone. We must always be on guard when it comes to what we say and do. We must be willing to risk our 'reputations', risk losing our circle of 'friends' and risk being considered an outcast. For when we feel that what others think of us [What our 'friends' think of us] is more important than what we [And/or God] thinks of us - then we are 'following the crowd' and capable doing some awful things.
