So so so..... So........ :)

Post by iHEAVENn » Mon Apr 09, 2007 3:05 pm

For the past about three weeks I've been sick on and off throughout the day.. I'm gaining weight... (only in my tummy area)

Soo the fiance/husband finally convinced me to take the test... after a week of me going back and forth and changing my mind....

Well.. I woke up saturday morning sicker than shit... and finally just took the test... (The one you can take 5 days before your missed period...) At that time I was already a week late....

After I got done, I washed my hands... looked down at the test and it was positive...

Sooooo Long story short..

We're going to the doctors to see how far along I am, and if everything's going well.

:)

Just thought you all should know... since I already told Mandy haha. :)

Love you guys!

Ohhh and congrats to KIT who might also have a little one!

here's what I added at the end of that... stupid thing wouldn't let me edit it anymore, so here goes:

You haven't even started college yet. How do you expect to support this child? Are you going to raise it in an apartment?

I really don't agree with what you're doing here, but it's not like I can do anything about it. I feel you've messed up your chance at a better future by getting pregnant at such a young age, without having even started college. You're moving too fast Amy. As someone who used to be your best friend, I really am concerned about this, and I worry all you're going to do by having a baby now is drag yourself down and slow down your progress towards a good future. Are you ready for a child? Are you sure you want to bring a child into the world when you don't have a career established, so if you or allen lose your job, you'll have enough money to continue supporting a child, give it a home, food, and the necessities of life? I remember a few months ago you stated you'd be waiting a few years before having a child. What happened to that?

My sister did the same thing you're doing here. No college degree, 19, married to a man much older than herself, living in an apartment.

Fast forward 4 years. 2 kids. 60,000 dollars in debt. Had she not had a child at 19, she'd have been able to focus on her future, establish a career, get a real home, and THEN have kids, in a world where they'd be getting the best they can get.

Think about that for a bit. I care tremendously about you, despite us not really talking anymore, and I want you to do what's best for yourself and your future. You may not be ready for this. I don't think you are.

Hobofuzz - Things happen. Things happen for a reason. There's nothing she can or should do. she's happy is she not? Amy is not dumb - I've worked on this site with her for over 3 years. I've seen the many trumendous things she can do. I know many people who had children before 18 and still went to college and got degrees in all sorts of things. 9 months is along time. I bet she can do college, raise a family, and much more all at the same time. I have no doubt that it'll be hard but she can do it. Suggesting(by the way you sound) abortion or adoption just because she's "19", in my opinion, is wrong. She's married and now has a gift from G-d coming into her life. Relax a little and instil a little trust and faith in your friend. We have a couple members on this site who are mothers and they are not married and are younger then Amy. They are surviving just fine. Love is the most important thing you can give a child. Necessities are needed, and you are correct that they are, so I'm sure Amy and her husband have already started thinking of a plan. Help by giving her the loving support she needs because it's her choice, her body, her family.

I'm just trying to watch out for a friend. I've seen these kinds of things before, and as much as I want to believe things will turn out fine, I don't have faith in it.

hobofuzz just because you know some people in the same situation doesnt mean everyone will turn out like them, amy is very smart, and she can handle it of this i am sure, she has been faced with many problems and has dealt with them, sure it may not be prime timing but if everyone waited untill they were ready i am sure most of us wouldnt be here today

You can "watch out" for her by making sure she's eating healthy things, and not doing anything to jeprodize the health of the baby or herself. And you have to remember - not everyone is the same. Why not take some time to talk to some of the parents on this site? They are ALL wonderful mothers. They are providing the care needed and everything that they HAVE to do for their child. We have a mother on here who has been a mother since she was 12 - *12*. Now, she's married, has a couple more kids, and they are doing just fine. THAT - is a wonderful mother. Amy - I have all the faith in the world - will do the same, if not better. Be a friend and support her. After all - support is what any mother needs. If they don't - those are usually the ones that hurt their babies because they can't "handle it"...not the ones who have the love and support because they feel that everyone believes in them which makes them have more confidence in themselves.

Amy - you can do this. I know you can. You'll be a great mother. :) *hugs*

She's happy. That's all that matters. I've thought what you're thinking most of my life. Pregnancy at a young age means a ruined life, just what they tell you in health classes. But I've gotten to know some people after a couple months of having a child, or who are a couple years in, and they're all managing. And you know, they're all happy.

Money does not mean happiness. Careers do not mean happiness. The only thing which means happiness is love and its many variations.

If Amy is happy, then let her be.

Thank you to those who know my husband and I can do this.

And to those who are supportive of us.

:)

Now as for the shitty two year old remarks made in this thread.

Grow up.

Kay?

Stop bitching about what I'm doing with MY life.

What my husband is doing with his life.

And for gods sake get over yourself.

I have a job. He has a job.

Jobs are never guranteed but wait..... neither are careers. duh!

I could be 35 working for some company and pregnant and get laid off cause of budget cuts.

Ever think of that?

No.

Why because you're too busy trying to push your thoughts on other people.

You need to stop.

And since you have no desire what so ever to even stop and think.. "Maybe this baby is a good thing for her..."

You can piss right off.

I'm more than happy that I get the chance to have a baby... now stop putting your shitty remarks in here kay thanks.

Oh and love to everyone else. :)
