Too Late

Title: Too Late



Everything seems so dark,

everyting's torn apart.

I make the decision of my life,

as I sit on the floor, and cradle the knife.

Everything's getting foggy now, and it's intensly hard to breath.

And as I think about it now,

I realize I don't want to leave.

But it's far too late, and in a way... I was already dead.

And as my eyes grow heavy, I think about the life I've lead.

Nobody loved me,

nobody cared,

nobody listened to me,

or even dared,

for them, my mind was far too morbid,

for me, my life was far too horrid.

Now I know that those were all lies,

As my soul fades away, and my body dies.



I wrote this poem a couple of years ago, when I was 12. I was going through some really hard times and I had just made a failed suicide attempt. I tried to hang myself, but the rope literally broke. Then I experienced a big epiphany that helped me to see that I really was meant to live and be on this Earth. Now I truly value my life, I got help, and I'm happy.
