Hey,

I found a great way to actually get down and do your novel is to take part in NaNoWriMo. Granted, the actual event is a while off now as it takes place in November, but it's a great idea, and there are forums which allow you to interact with other participants and get motivation from them too.

In case you don't know what that is, it stands for 'National Novel Writing Month' and the aim is to write a 50,000 word or more novel in a month. You're aiming at maybe 2000 or more words a day - which isn't the highest number - and it's a way of getting the first draft of the novel done in that space of time. Having such limited time to do it motivates you to get more done, and having it as a challenge can make it a bit more fun to actually do. Maybe look into it? It's also more fun if a few of your friends sign up to do it too, that way you can compete to see who can get the most done in a day, and discuss ideas and plots together.

I hope this has helped a bit, good luck!

Hollie.
