Need I remind you
It is not my own personal mourning
You fault to expect the howling, open cries of one heart ripped from another
The uselessness of body for any breath other than the ones used to call out to the eternally lost heart
The eyes that see only that which is unwanted
Other souls than the one they seek
These cries, these bones, these hollow black orbs are not mine
My loss is far inferior, and I almost dread to speak of it, yet to say the lost one is lost by me as well
So I hold a silent mind shrouded
To send sympathies from afar
Kept separate by a wall that holds those who truly lost
My darkness is in memorial
The only silence I am allowed
And in solemn stillness I watch the ascent
The wailing that follows
The emptiness
And hold a candle vigilant in my heart.

Not My Own
You couldn't be suicidal if your life depended on it.
there i go again, pretending that i'll fall
don't call the doctors!
they've seen it all before
they'll say just let her crash and burn
she'll learn
the attention just encourages her.
