Ventrillo Server

I think it would be a good idea to set up a Helpingteens ventrillo server, that way we could acculy "Talk" about our problems and such.

What exactly is that? Sounds much like it's already taken care of - the Live Chat's IRC server.

Its awsome. Im part of a couple of servers. Basically, everyone uses a client, and its like a voice-chat-room. Its friggin awsome. Complicated at first but very fun stuff.

Then there is a problem with this.



This site has it's appeals as it's anonymous. The moment you set up voice chat, you break anonimity. I don't think it will be setup, but i'll discuss it with other admins

Just because you can hear peoples voices? That doesnt break that in the least. No picture. And nobody is forced to use it.

if you want to hear peoples voices can't you use the phone?



I wouldn't be able to use it cuz i don't have a mic. but still im not really agreement w/ it...it sort-of-in a way seems like something thats gunna be a fad...like great at first (for those w/ mics) and after a while only used by a few..

I wouldn't want to use it because my parents are usually home when I am on. I don't want them hearing peoples problems and me responding. Or hearing my problems.



I think that if someone wants to use voice there are IM services that offer those things and the people could take their talking there. I know that Yahoo messenger has a thing set up for group of people to be able to talk.
